CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. All fully paid up members are eligible to enter the exhibition.

  2. The number of print entries submitted by any member is restricted for this year to 25 with the addition of a maximum of 2 print panels (see new panel guidelines below).

  3. The number of PDI entries submitted by any member is restricted for this year to 25 with the addition of a maximum of 2 PDI panels (see new panel guidelines below).

  4. Entries may be prints or projected images. Prints and projected images of the same image may be entered simultaneously in the same exhibition. However, any image, projected or otherwise, may not be submitted in a future exhibition, irrespective of the format.

  5. The Committee reserves the right not to accept any entry in the event of it not being fit for public display. Any such entry will be disqualified.

  6. All entries will be judged. It is unlikely that there will be space to hang all the prints entered this year. All prints which have won an award will be hung together with a minimum of 4 prints from each individual member.

  7. All entries must be submitted to the exhibition secretary by the date displayed on the club notice board. Entries must be accompanied by an entry form and the appropriate fee.

DISPLAY

  1. It is preferred for display purposes, that all prints be mounted in Antique White board. Supplies of this board can be obtained through the club at a reduced cost.

  2. Digital images will be projected according to the available conditions in the gallery.

FORMAT & IDENTIFICATION

PRINTS

Each entry must bear the author’s name, a title and the class entered.
It is preferred that all prints be mounted using the standard size of 40cm x 50cm, however panoramic or larger mounts will be hung, together with any larger prints which have won awards. Excluding the mount, a print should have a side measuring at least 25cm.

PROJECTED DIGITAL IMAGES

Digital images may be captured by a digital camera, digital scanning (by author or lab) of negatives, slides or prints.

The images for judging will be projected by a Data Projector in landscape format at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. Images must therefore, be no more than 1024 pixels wide and no more than 768 pixels high, including any border or frame around the image. If the image is less than the maximum in any direction, the canvas size should be enlarged to 1024 x 768 pixels and the unused area filled with black. It will then be seen to its best advantage when projected.

Images should be saved on a CD as ‘jpg’ or ‘jpeg’ with sRGB colour space. Each CD must be clearly labelled with the authors name, contact telephone number and email address (if applicable), by using a permanent marker pen on the top surface. The filename of each must be the title as saved on the CD and be preceded by the image number as follows:

Image 01 (title) (class) (author initials)
